The Rocky Mount Town Council honored local baseball star Ron Hodges on Monday. The former New York Mets catcher, who spent 12 years in the major leagues, died in November at the age of 74.
Christopher Douthat, the Franklin County resident who disappeared under mysterious circumstances in 2013, was legally declared dead in a Rocky Mount courtroom Thursday.
