NGU provides GCSO with educational opportunities

Beginning the Fall 2022 semester, North Greenville University and the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) will partner to provide quality higher education for the sheriff’s office employees. “We are delighted to offer this educational opportunity to these courageous public servants in the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office,” said NGU President Dr. Gene C. Fant, Jr.  “We want to partner to create and foster a safe, secure community through transformational education, community service, and strategic enforcement.”

The Donnan/COBE Project. Stepping into a New Era

North Greenville University (NGU) unveiled plans to transform a campus landmark and create a new home for its largest academic program with the announcement of The Donnan/College of Business & Entrepreneurship Project. Construction on the project, which has been in the design phase since last fall when it was approved by the NGU Board of Trustees and is supported by a newly launched $8.5 million capital campaign, is scheduled to begin this fall. The project centerpiece is the renovation of historic Donnan Administration Building to house the College of Business and Entrepreneurship (COBE) and a new office suite for NGU’s senior administration.

NGU celebrates 325 grads during commencement

North Greenville University (NGU) celebrated the achievements of 325 graduates as they received their degrees during the university’s Spring Commencement on April 29 in Melvin and Dollie Younts Stadium. During the evening ceremony, NGU President Dr. Gene C. Fant, Jr. conferred 294 candidates for bachelor’s degrees and 31 graduate degrees.

NGU, TriState Deaf School partner in Bridge Program

Published on Monday, July 12, 2021 North Greenville University (NGU) and TriState Deaf School of Theology (TDST) are partnering to provide the NGU Bridge Program to offer select undergraduate courses for the 2021-22 academic year. The NGU Bridge Program is designed to provide accredited transferable college credit to qualified TDST students in support of their educational development. “NGU has a long history of supporting education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and we are grateful for a variety of partnerships we enjoy in this important area,” said NGU President Dr. Gene C. Fant, Jr. “The TriState School is another opportunity for us to apply our mission – equipping transformational leaders for church and society’ – in this important community and serving the Kingdom with these programs.”
