The ground is completely saturated and standing water can be seen all over the northern jeff part of petalumaa part of town that is a traditonal place for flooding. Its a mater of geography and the Fire Department says people need to be rescued from this part of town every time there is a major flooding event. Battalion chief Jeff Holden Petaluma Fire Department there is a large basin that feeds the river systemfeeds the petaluma river. So, we monitor rain fall and then we monitor the streams. Jeff the area near stony creek road and petaluma boulevard is where firefighters will be paying the most attention. You can see this area is where the flood waters can build up.
