children inside was swept away. flooding was so bad, rescuers couldn t see the vehicle until the water receded. we were right over top of the vehicle that unfortunately the victims were in and never knew they were there. the bottom of the boat would scrape against the top of the car. another person is still missing. police say 11 people climbed trees to escape rushing water that was nine feet deep in some places. in wisconsin, strong winds flipped cars and big trucks on to their sides. one man died when the roof of his trailer collapsed. the national weather service is sending crews to determine if a tornado touched down. more storms are expected today. we ll check in with jacqui jeras at the half hour. and striking verizon workers head back to work on monday night without a new contract. but the company and unions have agreed to keep negotiating until a new agreement is reached. negotiators say they have made headway on a number of issues holding up the deal. a ....
