Alabama man convicted of murder sentenced to prison for pipe bomb
Updated Dec 16, 2020;
A Dale County man already convicted of murder earlier this year was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison for possession of an explosive device.
Mitchell Byron Doster, 44, of Jack, was sentenced Tuesday, according to U.S. Attorney Louis Franklin. Doster was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
In February, Doster was convicted in Dale County for the 2017 shooting death of Rickey Dease, and he is also charged with murder in the March 2019 shooting death of Orchid Bolin, 22, in Barbour County. She was shot multiple times and found dead in a wooded area. Doster was out on bond at the time of Bolin’s death.
