Iizuka Hina Matsuri is one of Japan’s biggest
zashikibina (hina dolls arranged around a miniature festival scene)! At the old Residence of Ito Denemon, which was recently designated as a national important cultural property in December 2020, the elegant scenes of women’s literature familiar to the Heian period are expressed, specially named after the landlord’s wife and poet Byakuren Yanagihara. Don’t forget to check out the other 14 exhibitions at Kaho Theater and Iizuka City Historical Museum too!
