Optional mask wearing may not affect Covid-19 cases quickly: OCTA

Razon) MANILA - The optional wearing of face masks outdoors may not affect the number of corona virus disease (2019) infections if it becomes a policy, the OCTA Research Group said Thursday. This, after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) recommended on Wednesday the optional wearing of face masks in outdoor spaces that are not crowded and with good ventilation. NCR Covid-19 positivity rate rises to 12.7%: OCTA

MANILA - The positivity rate, the number of people testing for Covid-19, in the National Capital Region (NCR) increased to 12.7 percent as of Sept. 7, the OCTA Research Group said Thursday. In a televised public briefing, OCTA Research Group fellow Dr. Butch Ong noted that the figure is a 0.6 percent increase from NCR's 12.1 percent positivity rate as of Sept. 3.
