A green mobility pilot project has been launched in Alicedale to help residents of the remote little town to get around while promoting eco-business and protecting the environment.
Damaged homes, smashed coastal walkways, battered beaches and infrastructure are being repaired for the holiday season along the Garden Route coastline which was pummelled by the destructive weekend storm surge.
Barry Steenkamp, rocking the bass guitar, will accompany SA film legend Ian Roberts in their upcoming show Sloet & Steenkamp Anecdotes, kicking off at the Port Alfred Ski Club followed by the Gonubie Hotel next week.
Mental note to self: Why have I not spent more time at Boknes? The place is absolutely beautiful. Right next door, to the south, Cannon Rocks is stunning too. To the north, Kenton-on-Sea is a paradise on its own as well. To be honest I know why I have not spent as much time in the area as it deserves.
