May 10, 2021 By Jon King / [email protected] A former Livingston County resident charged with making threats against Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin and Senator Debbie Stabenow has entered a plea in the case. 63-year-old Daniel Thompson, formerly of Gregory but now living in Harrison, was charged by the Michigan Attorney Generalâs Office in February with three counts of malicious use of service provided by a telecommunications service provider. In court today, he pleaded guilty to two of those charges after admitting that he made a threatening call to Rep. Slotkin from Livingston County on April 30th of 2020, and then left a threatening message for U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow on Jan. 5, also from Livingston County. ....

The Livingston County Road Commission advises that construction starts tomorrow on Burkhart Road from the CSX Railroad to Grand River. Work involves milling and paving that section. There is expected to be a high traffic impact associated with the project. The Road Commission says motorists can expect major delays. Two-way traffic will be maintained through flag control and alternate routes are advised. The work is tentatively scheduled to wrap up on Wednesday. Share: ....
May 3, 2021 Two construction projects with big traffic impacts get underway this week. The first is a milling and paving project that starts tomorrow on Eager and Bigelow Roads from M-59 to Latson Road in Oceola Township. The Livingston County Road Commission advises that there will be high traffic impact and motorists should expect major delays as two-way traffic will be maintained through flag control. The work is expected to be completed by Friday. The second project starts on Wednesday on Burkhart Road from Mason Road to the I-96 eastbound ramp in Howell Township. Work involves the paving of Burkhart Road and the newly constructed right turn lane at the I-96 ramp. The project is also expected to wrap up Friday and the Road Commission again cautions that there will be a high traffic impact. Traffic will be directed in a southbound-only direction from the I-96 eastbound ramp, down to Mason Road. ....
