Saying the local tsunami warning goes until 6:00 a.m. so there s a little bit of a conflict there. and i wanted to point that out. now, the tsunami warning does cover the entire pacific basin. all the way from coastal sections of chile down towards antarctica, up through the hawaiian islands, to russia. this is a broad expansive area. and they re saying that these waves could last five minutes, they could last 15 minutes, but it s something that we just have to kind of evaluate at this point. but as you said, rob, some of these the buoy data does indicate that, yes, there s already that rise. but this encompasses such a broad area, it s just very difficult to say what this will look like as we go until 11:00. hawaii time and there s a five-hour difference. ....

Let s go to rick riechmuth. he is watching the weather very closely as well? she was saying the water is recede inning hilo. that is on the big island which the southern most island and close toast chile. that would be the first island to be affected. if they were experiencing that water to recede, very likely they are feeling the tsunami right now. without having a camera in the exact spot, it s difficult to tell what is going on. honolulu, that is probably i would say over a hundred miles from there. the wave is going to take longer to get to honolulu area. i am looking at some of buoy data, one buoy that is to the west of the big island showed a major can change in water height about 15 minutes ago. that would be an indication that the wave is moving or the first wave is moving in closer to the honolulu area pretty quickly. ....
