Four elderly residents of a government-run old-age home in Sabalpur in Dhanbad passed away within a span of two days. The outsourced operators of the facility hastily performed the last rites of the deceased on Tuesday evening without conducting postmortem examinations or informing the district social welfare officer (DSWO) Anita Kujur, who serves as the nodal officer for the old-age home. Proper action will be taken against the operator after a thorough investigation.
