Goldfields Mob Connect Community Day
As part of Reconciliation Action Week, Council is inviting our First Nations community to come together to share food and share stories.
The Goldfields Mob Connect Community Day will be held on Sunday 30 May from 10.30am to 2.30pm at the Community Hub and Station Doman Gardens in Maryborough.
Come along, bring the family, connect and have some fun. Activities include:
The day will open with a Welcome, smoking ceremony and didge player.
There will be activities for families including games and inflatables run by The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and cultural activities with TruDreaming.

The Andrews Labor Government is backing multiculturalyoung people with more opportunities to develop their skills and come together through sport.
Minister for Youth Ros Spence has announced $450,000 for sporting organisations that deliver mentoring and skill building activities for African and Muslim young people. This includes $150,000 each for the Bachar Houli Foundation, Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and The Huddle.
The grants were announced at a special event with Bachar Houli and the Richmond Football Club at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday.
The Bachar Houli Foundation will use this funding to continue its Girls Leadership Program, which strengthens identity and community connectedness among Muslim girls aged 12 to 17 years.
Local sporting clubs and community groups will have the opportunity to learn how they can become champions for equality in the first ever Stand Up, Take.
