Keep forgotten the mask. Good morning and welcome to the Building Inspection Commission meeting for august 2020. Im angus mccarthy, president of the building commissioner and im joined by fellow commissioner members along with interim director reardon and dbi staff. As you will hear in detail from our agenda items today, were continuing to cope with the circumstances caused by covid19 pandemic. Along with just completing the departments move into our new perm a center at 49 south venice, on behalf of the commissioner, i want to thank dbi staff for their hard work for the move including boxing up hundreds and hundreds of plans thanks to the Deputy Director madison for lea ....
Kudos to Technical Service division who successfully completed the code update. This was a huge undertaking involving coordination and tight deadlines. Thanks to all the dbi staff. And finally, id like to recognize a great employee of our city for many years and who is just retired from the department of dbi, like to recognize bill strong. Is bill here . I owe him a big lunch because i was away when he retired. During his time, he impressed us very much with his knowledge and professionalism and attention to detail. I know i speak for my colleagues as well when i say we will miss him. He was a great anchor for the department and his history goes back to senator feinstein and i was talking to john about it earlier, he took a little time off in the middle and then back to dbi for, i believe, 13 years was the time . I dont know how many times i tried to upset bill and i could not. [laughter] and i made genuine efforts to do it. He ....

It speaks to the disconnect we find there and that comes from the project Design Professionals and percolates down to ending up with something that is maybe a little beyond but, you know, some of them we see a little bit beyond, but again, the universe with 49 hopkins projects, its pretty small.
