That we ought to be talking about. okay. let s talk about the gridlock there in washington, as the government delayed that shutdown by a valid six weeks. we were worrying about it a couple weeks ago when the house passed its spending bill. now, you ve said you want to end these budget showdowns with a two-year budget. how would that work and what kind of opposition would you have to it? well, there s actually growing support in the senate for a biannual budget proposal. it had a hearing yesterday before the budget committee and it s got had very strong support in that budget committee hearing. you know, the budget process in washington is not working. only twice in the last 30 years has a budget been produced on time given the current process. every president since ronald reagan has said, we ought to go to biannual budgeting. it will give congress a chance in the first year of the budget to put together the budget and the second year, to provide oversight and accountability. it w ....
