New Jacksonville Business Hopes to Promote Green Living

By Benjamin Cox on February 18, 2021 at 12:16pm L to R: Green Have Co. Co-Owners Clarissa Hewitt, Jessica Lynn, and Brynna Wilson Reduce. Refill. Recycle. It’s the mantra of a new store in Jacksonville’s downtown square. Green Haven Company just opened at 66 East Central Park Plaza in the old SoapCo Coffee Shop location. The environmentally friendly local business encourages those who wish to reduce waste by refilling laundry detergents, soaps, and other liquid products in the store. The eco-friendly idea came about with co-owner Jessica Lynn. Lynn, who previously owned The Fresh Press, says she wanted to carry over the environmentally-conscious ideas of her previous business into a full-fledged business model.

Green Haven at 66 E. Central Park Plaza, is owned by Jessica Lynn, Carissa Hewitt and Brynna Wilson. The idea for the store originated with Lynn, who owned The Fresh Press before it became Elm City Roastery. The Fresh Press used bio-degradable bowls and straws and that made Lynn think it would be cool to start a eco-friendly store, she said.
