Kay Gabriel is a poet and essayist based in New York City. She is the author of A Queen in Bucks County, out this month from Nightboat Books, and Kissing Other People or the House of Fame (Rosa Press, 2021; Nightboat Books, 2023). With Andrea Abi-Karam, Gabriel coedited We Want It All: An Anthology of Radical Trans Poetics (Nightboat Books, 2020). She is part of the editorial collective for the Poetry Project Newsletter and teaches at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University.

A restaurant group from New York brought Uptown Social to Charleston, and now the partners behind Uptown Social want to bring two more restaurants to Ann Street. Bodega will build off of the breakfast/brunch concept already happening at Uptown Social, with New York-style morning sandwiches and coffee. Charcuterie and cocktails will be on the menu in the evening.
