Dunfermline's popular cafes of the past | Dunfermline Press

THE photographs in this week’s trip down West Fife’s Memory Lane feature some of the popular cafes that used to operate in Dunfermline.
The first photograph shows ‘The Brunswick Café’ that was situated in Carnegie Drive across from the bus station where Tesco is today.
Ann Muir remembers her time working there: “I worked there during my school years for Antonia and Luigi Pellicci. I remember being called ‘lassie’ which was the usual description/roar to all female staff – I can still swear in Italian fluently too. Used to love the homemade roast beef cooked with loads of garlic. The ice cream was the best in town. They were both grafters with the café open from 7am until 9pm seven days a week.” ....
