GARRY E. LEACH, 76 May 6, 2021 | 6:19 AM Garry Elwin Leach, age 76, of the Marion Center area, passed away on May 4, 2021 as a result of Covid complications. Born on May 13, 1944, to Elwin and Lois (Barber) Leach of Scranton, he was the eldest of four children. Garry was a graduate of Scranton Central where he was a champion swimmer. Garry, a true outdoorsman who loved and lived for hunting and fly fishing, escaped the city of Scranton each summer and weekends to go to his Grandpa Barber’s dairy farm in Wayne County to help. His passion for the outdoors led him to a forestry degree from Penn State where he often went squirrel hunting while ‘studying’ for his finals. ....

PROVIDENCE Attorney General Peter Neronha has opened the door to the release of long-withheld information about the $16.9 million-plus in taxpayer dollars spent in 2019 on staffing events at the Rhode Island Convention Center, the Dunkin Donuts Center and affiliated properties. The ruling came Wednesday in response to a complaint filed by The Journal against the heavily taxpayer-subsidized Rhode Island Convention Center Authority a year ago, before COVID-19 turned the venues into a makeshift hospital and then a vaccination site. Ordinance 2021-01-Home Occupations Text Amendment seeks to regulate marijuana growing operations by caregivers in the township by putting in place new sets of principles many residents have expressed are restrictive to the process. Under the ordinance, caregivers would be required to house and grow their plants in a secured, locked accessory structure on their property separate from their home. ....
