Frail elderly residents trying to escape with their lives as firefighters pull up carrying one woman to safety. 133 residents did make the out along with 15 staff members. Thanks to the heroics of so many. Firefighters, police officers, staff members, citizens had minutes to get those citizens out. Many of them in wheel chairs, walkers, many of them with physical and mental issues. Reporter so many survived despite overwhelming obstacles the lazy hot firefighters helmets started to melt but four residents are still missing all in their mid 80s to early 90s including a husband and wife. Based on the speed of this fire, and based on the condition of the residents, we would have expected to lose 40 to 50 people in fire like this.
