5:30 fox 45 eerly edition. after taking a bullet to the state a coppin state disa trackr and honor student is recovering3 from his injury. donald dunn s mother arrived a few days ago to be with him. -egan is here with what was going through her ind when all of this was unfolding. reporter: forbes dale dunn s mother was very emotiinal. she was on the phone with him when he was suddenly attacked and roobed and shot in the chest. it s a conversation she says she will never forget. she was on the ooher end of that line when somebody suddenly approached er son and started yelling..3 i m going to beat you up. i said that doesn t sound right. i said dale, dale. reporter: getting no response to that, she cclled back only to get his voic voice. she started calling his friends. moments later dunn fought to make his way home. his friends rushed him to the hospital. he did make it through ssrgery and is recovering now. miss mother couldn t be byyhis finally after proving hhr son wa
