A Lethbridge man accused of throwing a suspicious package into the police station last week, remains in custody following his second court hearing since he was arrested.
Kyle Glen Lowe, who is remanded at the Lethbridge Correctional Centre, was unable to appear in Lethbridge provincial court Monday, even by CCTV, because he is in a “dry cell” after showing symptoms of COVID-19.
The accused was remanded following his first court hearing Friday, and his matter was adjourned again Monday, but only for two days when his case is set ostensibly for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
A portion of the police station was evacuated after a 29-year-old man threw a package into the front entrance about 10:15 a.m. Thursday. ....

The clerk noticed several discrepancies and became suspicious. When thes clerk questioned him about the transaction, Phillips simply walked out of the bank.

A Lethbridge man who refuses to abide by court orders has received a four-month jail sentence.
Jyi Mickell Trotter was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty in Lethbridge provincial court to one count of driving while prohibited and two counts of failing to comply with release conditions.
Court was told Trotter had, in December 2018, been prohibited from driving for three years. In January of last year, however, he was seen driving a vehicle. He had also been ordered during a bail hearing last September to remain in his home or on his property 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and to not be in a vehicle. ....
