Brown County Sheriff's Report

The following calls were responded to by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department. On Friday, April 16 at about 11:25 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center located at 1050 W Commerce in Brownwood, TX. This was in regards to suspicious activity. Langley spoke to a complainant who stated she believes her mother is being abused by her boyfriend/husband. On Friday, April 16 at about 12:33 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at CR 105 in Brownwood, TX. This was in regards to a hit and run. Langley spoke with the victim, who stated someone ran over his mailbox On Friday, April 16 at 4:29 p.m., Deputy Carlyle James Gover responded to the Brown County Jail. This was in reference to an inmate reporting missing property on a property he resided at in the county. After further investigation, a report was made.

Brown County Sheriff's Report – April 16

On Wednesday, April 14, contact was made with an individual due to being passed out in a vehicle in the 6600 block of CR 551. The individual was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana under two ounces. On Thursday, April 15 at about 9:23 a.m. Deputy Marvin Simpson responded to Starboard Dr. This was in regards to trespassing. Upon arriving on scene, Deputy Simpson was advised a suspect had pulled into the driveway at this address. The suspect does have an active trespass warning for this address. A report was made, due to the suspect not being on scene. On Thursday, April 15 at approximately 5:36 p.m. a woman entered the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center to conduct a follow up for incidents, which have been occurring at her residence, HWY 279. These incidents all involve an unwanted person or persons on her property around her vehicle. A report was made.

Brown County Sheriff's Report

The following calls were responded to by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department between March 1 and March 8. On Monday, March 8 at about 9:54 a.m. Deputy Marvin Simpson received a phone call from Lt. Pete Bastardo. This was in regard to unwanted subject. The address of the call was unknown at the time. Upon meeting with the complaint, deputies were advised the address was CR 270. The complainant stated his step-grandson was no longer wanted at the property for multiple reasons. Deputies made contact with the step-grandson at the back residence on the property. Deputy Simpson advised the step-grandson the complainant would like him to leave the property. The step-grandson willingly and on his own free will left the property. Deputy Simpson transported the step-grandson to the Royal Inn. Deputy Simpson issued a Criminal Trespass Warning to the step-grandson, by request of the complaint.
