In los angeles and jonathan, how often are these kind of robberies like the one in the nordstroms happening? my count, three times in the last three weeks. so it s becoming frighteningly routine for l.a. area stores and shoppers to find themselves caught up in these kind of flash mob robberies. the latest incident happened just after 4:00 p.m. saturday, browed daylight at a high end store, at a high end mall. about 30 miles northwest of downtown l.a. up to 50 people were involved in the robbery, clearly organized and planned. the mob, most dressed in black, burst into the nordstroms store at the topanga mall, and bags, shoes, clothes, the main targets. they took off with goods worth up to $100,000 and escaped in cars whose license plates had been removed.
