The National Institutes of Drug Abuse has awarded $13.8 million to UAMS for the clinical trial of a drug that counters the effects of using methamphetamine.
A drug that has the potential to be the only pharmaceutical treatment for methamphetamine drug abuse will head into a phase two clinical trial at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences after it was awarded a $13.8 million grant from the National Institutes of Health's drug abuse institute.
