SLIDER James Howard Slider, formerly of Tyler County, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 29, 2021, at the age of 86 years. Jim was born Sept. 26, 1934, on Slider Run in Tyler County, and was the son of the late James Owen and Opal Luedra (Neff) Slider. Upon graduation from Tyler County High School in 1953, he first worked at Paden City Pottery, then Hope Gas, then Homer Laughlin Pottery before beginning his lifelong vocation on March 31, 1958, at Olin Mathieson Aluminum Plant in Hannibal, Ohio, which was called Conalco when he retired on July 1, 1994. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union Local 5760. ....
