A challenge will these winds today pose for firefighters . The junkins fire now spread into pueblo county. Its burning in an area west of pueblo and walsenberg and east of westcliff. Fire crews tell us the area hasnt had a fire like this in about 140 years that means there is a lot of fuel to burn and thats whats prompting all of the evacuations. As we mentioned 175 home have already been told to get out. Today threethousand others in pueblo are being told to get ready to theyre watching the winds today and preparing for the worst. This fire is just one of three burning in southern colorado right now. In eagle county the freeman fire still burns. Its only 40percent contained.
