Lesser amounts are predicted around the Jersey Shore. Significant flooding and strong winds could batter the New Jersey coast over the next few days as a prolonged nor’easter rolls into the area, now expected to dump the heaviest amounts of snow in the central and northern portions of the state through Tuesday. Light snow already started to dust western Monmouth County around 11 a.m. today. and had moved to the coast before 1 p.m. The wintry precipitation was already starting to stick.

North Hope Chapel Road is also known as Ocean County Route 639. The location of the planned improvement is near Jackson Liberty High School, which is at 125 North Hope Chapel Road. Council President Andrew Kern, Vice President Martin Flemming, Councilman Alexander Sauickie, Councilman Stephen Chisholm and Councilman Nino Borelli passed a resolution authorizing the project during the council’s Jan. 12 meeting.
