FFA agricultural sales team places 3rd in state competition

The Chillicothe FFA Chapter placed 3rd in the agricultural sales career development event at the 93rd Missouri FFA Convention. There were 16 teams in the competition.
The team members include Seth Hansen, Gabbryelle Hapes, Makenna Campbell and Chandler Stedem. Hansen placed second, Hapes placed fourth, Campbell placed 31st and Stedem placed 40th out of 56 participants. The Chillicothe FFA advisors are Brook Kreatz, Lance Martin, Rhonda Oesch, Randy Plattner and Neal Wolf.
Entries include an individual sales presentation and team sales situation for an agricultural product. Competitors also are asked to demonstrate their ability to relate to customers, prospect for customers and carry out promotions. These students can successfully apply classroom learning to real-life situations.
Hansen named State FFA Vice President

During the 93rd Missouri FFA Convention, Seth Hansen was named the 2021-2022 State FFA Vice President. Hansen is a member of the Chillicothe FFA Chapter. His parents are Kevin and Bobbi Hansen of Chillicothe. His advisors are Brook Kreatz, Lance Martin, Randy Plattner and Neal Wolf.
Hansen’s supervised agricultural experience program consists of a flock of 20 ewes and two rams.
During high school, Hansen served as chapter president, assistant president, and second vice president, and area president.
At state, Hansen placed third in job interview, sixth in Division II prepared public speaking and earned Group I individual rating in FFA knowledge leadership development events. He also participated in agronomy and livestock evaluation career development events. Hansen won the area sheep production proficiency award. He is a graduate of Missouri Agribusiness Academy and was an ambassador the following year.
