Jefferies issued a "buy" rating for Newgen Software, while CLSA continued to uphold a "buy" rating for REC. BSE received a "hold" rating from CLSA. BofA Securities advised an "underperform" rating for Sona BLW, and Investec downgraded IOC.
Jefferies expects Indian wealth management firms assets under management to double by FY27. "IWMs (Indian wealth managers) are gaining share in the ultra-HNI segment (80% of market) where global players are receding and smaller banks lack bandwidth for personalised solutions," said the brokerage s analysts Jayant Kharote and Prakhar Sharma in a client note.
According to global brokerage firm Jefferies, opinion polls and on-the-ground feedback suggest that the BJP s performance in the upcoming state elections may be better than initial expectations. The brokerage firm said it has reduced weight on NBFCs as the rate cut cycle seems to be at least six months away.
Jefferies has increased its weight on the financials from an earlier 25.9 to 31 with an Overweight stance. Its top pick remains ICICI Bank followed by Axis Bank and IndusInd Bank for respective targets of Rs 1,240, Rs 1,200 and Rs 1,750. Other picks include ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, Bajaj Finance, Cholamandalam Finance, SBI Cards and Payment Services.
