The bullpen came through again and the offense provided three homeruns as the Lewis-Clark State baseball team rallied from a three-run deficit to eliminate Louisiana State – Shreveport 9-6 Monday in day three of the Avista NAIA World Series at Harris Field.

Senior Jesse Parker provided 6 1/3 innings of 1 run relief to pick up his first series win. The right-hander struck out a season-high 8 as the Warriors improved to 43-5. Offensively, Lewiston junior Luke White had two hits, including an RBI double and a two-run homerun, while seniors Jack Johnson and Brock Ephan added solo homers in the win.

Ephan, the league’s player of the year, tallied four singles and a 3-run double as the Warriors improve to 41-4.
Trent Sellers struck out six in 5 innings of 2-hit shutout baseball to secure his 6th win of the season.

Ephan was named the Baseball Player of the Week for the fourth time this season after another big weekend at the plate. The senior hit .524 with 8 extra base hits, including three homeruns and five doubles. He also drove in 13 runs and scored 8 times.
The Warrior baseball team hosts the Cascade Conference Tournament this weekend at Harris Field.
VanDyke had a pair of stellar performances at the Bucs Scoring Invitational on Friday. The senior from Vernal, Utah won the 800m and hit an automatic-qualifying standard.
The All-American also anchored the 4x400m relay team that set the program record with a second-place finish at the event. This is the second time VanDyke has earned the outdoor award.
