A collective of New Zealand business leaders has praised the Climate Change Commission report but says more work is needed and actioned now to tackle our make-take-waste culture and close the loop on resource use.
The Climate Change Commission, in its draft plan, has advised that Aotearoa needs to fundamentally change the way it deals with and thinks about waste. A transformation to this sector will not only reduce emissions but move us from a throwaway culture to one that values our resources. ....

Ecostore Launches First-ever Refillable Aluminium Bottle To Tackle Our Make-take-waste Culture

Ecostore is ‘walking the talk’ by providing a
circular solution and introducing its first-ever refillable
aluminium bottles for hand and dish wash products to reduce
Aotearoa’s single use plastic waste pollution and
emissions.
The new ecostore Refill Bottle is 100%
aluminium, is designed to be kept for reusing and refilling
again and again, and is also a great solution for reducing
landfill waste due to its infinitely recyclability. Kiwi
households can reduce, reuse, and recycle thanks to the new
sustainable packaging. Also, when aluminium bottles are
eventually recycled and remade they only use 5 per cent of
the energy and emits 5 per cent of the CO2, compared with ....
