Editorial: Industrial action is on the rise – strikers need our solidarity
MOST of the mainstream media in Britain have little interest in reporting industrial disputes, unless they see some anti-strike and anti-union mileage in doing so.
They are even less concerned to report and analyse the reasons for the levels of discontent that drive workers to lose pay and even risk their jobs by taking action.
In this time of Covid-19 and Brexit, news of workers in struggle is more scarce than ever.
Yet there is plenty to report, as the Morning Star demonstrates today as every day. Working people are as ready as ever to defend their rights and interests when the chips are down.
