A teenager who died from sepsis on a school trip to New York would not have suffered a cardiac arrest if she had been prescribed antibiotics in the days before her death, an inquest heard.  
Ana Uglow, 17, a sixth form pupil at Bristol Grammar School, had felt unwell for a week before she collapsed in her hotel room and was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai West hospital on December 19, 2019. ....

Ana Uglow, 17, a student at Bristol Grammar School, died on school trip in 2019
She was rushed to Mount Sinai West hospital, New York, after falling ill on trip 
Inquest heard from her mother that Ana told teachers she wanted to see doctor but teachers refused
She collapsed in a hotel room and later died, with doctors finding she had sepsis
School bosses told the inquest that Ana s had not directly asked to see a doctor 
They say Ana reported that she felt better and went on a walking tour with group ....
