JAMMU, Apr 4: Theatre group ‘Natrang’ here today staged Hindi play ‘Jangiram Ki Haveli’ written by Gurusharan Singh and designed-directed by Neeraj Kant.
This play once was very popular in north India and has been staged for over thousand times to sensitize masses about the core issues of prevalent political corruption.
The plays addressed political and social issues from a revolutionary perspective and it revolved around the story of four residents of a downtrodden Haveli of ‘Jangiram’ who died leaving the residents helpless.
The ‘Haveli’ is symbolic to the country and the residents represent the citizens of the country. The residents being overly dependent on ‘Jangiram’ did not know how to survive without him and they were troubled by this situation after wh ....

JAMMU, Dec 20: The 40 day acting workshop organized by Natrang concluded here today with the staging of Hindi play ‘Dur Se Kisi Ne Aawaaz Di’ written by Manjul Bhardwaj and Directed by Neeraj Kant.
The play efficiently presented the gruesome picture of the society where because of their vested interests certain opportunists make masses kill each other on the name of religion, region, caste, race etc.
On the death of every human being, humanity bleeds and their condition deteriorates. The brunt of mindless riots and its nefariously related incidents were exemplified in the play. Just to fulfill the greed of evil people, thousands of innocent people lose their lives, thousands of houses are put to flames and hundreds of girls are molested and the most ironic part of this tragedy is that all this ....
