The Maharashtra government and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday assured the Bombay High Court that the situation concerning the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in the state was under control and that the authorities were “fully geared to meet any eventuality arising out of further spread of Omicron variant”.
Ahead of the elections, the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to renovate and beautify the heritage Anand Vitthal Koli pyau, a heritage drinking water fountain located on Gokhale Road in Dadar west at the cost of Rs 70.34 lakh.
The sharp fluctuations in day and night temperatures over the past few days have brought in their wake a spike in allergies, viral infections and respiratory problems for people. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) health department said that around 40-45 per cent cases of viral infections and respiratory problems have been reported over the past one week.
This work is scheduled to be completed by the year 2024, the pace of this work will be discussed and decisions will be taken in the weekly review meeting.
The original contract for the repair of these six bridges was Rs. 23.17 crores. The amount has now increased by Rs 5.72 crores 28 crores. Taking into account taxes and other costs, the increase has gone up to Rs 34 crore.
