Global Teaching Academy inducts three new faculty for outstanding internationalization accomplishments

Created in 2014, the Global Teaching Academy recognizes and celebrates exceptional teaching in an international context. Since its inception, the Academy has welcomed some two dozen colleagues and recognized their efforts in internationalizing Auburn Universityand#8217;s curricula and student experiences. On April 25, the Office of International Programs hosted an induction ceremony to honor the three newest members of the Academy. URI VOTES research team measures efficiency of in-person voting

KINGSTONÂ â The 2020 election is complete, but a team of researchers at the University of Rhode Island is still crunching the numbersÂ â not the number of votes, but the statistics used to determine the efficiency of in-person voting.
I can say with confidence, from a URI VOTES perspective, that we had a successful election season this fall, said Gretchen Macht, director of the URI Voter OperaTions and Election Systems (URI VOTES) project. Some lines took longer than an hour, while others averaged 20 minutes, which was nothing out of theÂ ordinary.
Working with faculty and students from Auburn University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Macht s research groupÂ collected data in RhodeÂ Island, Nebraska and Los Angeles. ....
