rising from what used to be that structure there. and very, very busy wednesday morning to you. thanks for joining us here on the 9 . sal castaneda, mike mibach. a lot of people who were driving by in the early hours of the fire so they could feel the heat coming from that massive fire. kow see it. i get to work very early in the morning and i was driving on interstate 880 and you could see a glow from the sky. everyone in the east bay was able to see it. it you could see flames. the battle for those firefighters, tip your cap to them for containing that area. no one hurt. it was a six-alarm fire that is now fully contained that happened at a residential building under construction near emeryville. it s happening just a block or two-way away from the home depot shopping center. we have been on this breaking news through mornings on 2 since we first went on the air at 4 a.m. dozens of firefighters and 25 fire engines have been on the scene trying to put the flames out
shoulder. that is 19-year-old zachary cuen. he is charged with the vicious brutal beating of 88-year-old, we are calling her ms. flo, not using her full name. he has a prior history with the law. was arrested as recently as february of this year for stealing a man s gmc yukon and selling it. and being involved in a hit and run accident. so, he was on probation for that. he served about 43 days in the county jail. was on probation. and then arrested for this crime. now, in connection with this most recent crime against ms. flo, she told detectives there were two suspects so we will try to get clarity on whether they are searching for the other suspect. we talked to relatives of ms. flo who is not conscious. she is in critical to grave condition inside the hospital here in san jose. we will not say which one. obviously, they are very concerned about her concern. 88 years old. that is a very difficult . a lot of trauma for anyone to take, but especially one 88 years old. we are
