Medford swimmers enjoy success in pool, despite COVID rules Dom Nicastro / Correspondent There’s a lot to be thankful for if you are the Medford High School swimming coach. Longtime coach Mary Judge (30-plus years) was able to navigate her team successfully through this truncated season, despite restrictions, because of the pandemic. The season didn’t start until last month. It usually begins the Monday after Thanksgiving. Her team was still able to win three of its four meets so far this season. Here’s how the meets have broken down: Malden 93, Medford 77; Medford 82, Lynn English 76; Medford 91, Lynn Classical 78; and Medford 94, Somerville 73. ....
