The Gauchos had a chance to tie the score with two seconds left in regulation after Bri Anugwom was fouled while grabbing an offensive rebound off a missed shot by Danae Miller. Anugwom missed both free throws, and the Anteaters (14-8) rebounded to secure the victory and advance to the semifinals.

Jones scored 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting and grabbed six rebounds to lead the charge in the Big West game.

After falling behind by 10 in the third quarter, UCSB made a late run in the fourth but came up short, falling 64-60 to the Anteaters to remain winless on the season.
