A double challenge: filming a Brexit documentary during the pandemic

A double challenge: filming a Brexit documentary during the pandemic Nina Kojima speaks to us about making her Brexit Documentary during the Covid pandemic. It’s been a year like no other. People have died, businesses have gone bust, kids have been off school – the world has turned into the kind of drama only the creators of the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Contagion’ could have predicted. But another drama has continued alongside this – Brexit. It’s now almost become part of the British ‘brand’, alongside the royal family, fish and chips and The Beatles. (We seem to have forgotten the alternative term, Bremain…)

Nina Kojima, Author at Raindance

About Nina Kojima Nina Kojima is a London-based film director, writer, and TV and radio journalist, with over 20 years’ experience. She started her career at the public broadcasting service Radio-Television Slovenia (RTVSLO), where she became one of the leading voices on the popular radio show Val 202. She was a morning host, day editor, cultural news editor and even Eurovision Song Contest commentator. As a journalist she interviewed many prime ministers and presidents, including a live broadcast with Bill Clinton during his 1999 visit to Slovenia. Alongside her radio job she worked on national television, where she created and became editor-in-chief of Slovenia’s first-ever student TV show, Student Street, which ran for many years.
