not only will i know what s in it by the time the bill he should know what s in it already, mr. president. so now i could have said something like that not you. you are too nice a guy. that s just a gaffe. however, he didn t actually say whether he supports this deeming business or not. it was kind of a non-answer deal. bret: in another answer he said that the house will vote once and when they vote it will be a vote for health care reform or against health care reform. meaning, and this was a question about the deem and pass. the voting on the reconciliation rule to deem the senate bill into law. he said in essence that s okay by him as long as we move this forward because that s what is important. now, i tried numerous times. bill: he didn t actually say that though. he didn t say the words. he was giving you what they call the old razzle dazzle the house will vote one time. we know that they are either going to vote yea or ney or vote
phony it is. bill: stop. i got to do this every week with you. have you got to stop for a second and let me jump in. you and me, morris, are the only ones saying that. we are the only ones say that. i said it last night. everybody disagreed with me. the president, and he is coming up right behind you, you actually led the broadcast over president obama with bret baire, bayer asked him about this. i m not going to tell you what the president said but we will get into it. but you and me, morris, are the only ones saying that this sneaky, and that s exactly what it is, sneaky deem deal isn t going to happen because the folks will not tolerate it. that s right. and that s the problem with washington. they only see inside the beltway. and then when they realize everybody else in the country has a brain, too, they suddenly have to retreat. this whole maneuver is based on the ridiculous assumption that we won t know that a vote for a rule is a vote for the bill come

bill: personal story segment tonight, bret baire who anchors special report at 6:00 p.m. interviewed president obama today. that caused a big stir here in washington. and bret joins us now from the white house. boy, i bet you a lot of people are jealous, huh? getting the big exclusive today. how were you treated by the president and his men and ladies? well, listen, we were very appreciative for the time. and the access and the ability to ask questions. hard questions that we didn t think other people were asking about the health care bill and what s in it. and also this process that we talked a lot about we went in very grateful for the time. it was very contentious and a lot of back and forth. the president held the ball. you have done a billion of these interviews sometimes it s uncomfortable to let them talk
