Acting Inspector John Mahony recently told the

The teenagers abused, attacked and threw rubbish including bottles at the officers as they tried to restrain them.

Rehab bid rejected for alleged trafficker after raids

A man charged with drug trafficking after police raids found $198,000 in cash at his home has been denied a chance to return to a rehabilitation centre.
Jeremy Scott Campbell was refused bail on Wednesday after police allegedly found MDMA hidden in garden beds and walls, and searches of two storage sheds uncovered cars and cash on Sunday evening.
A man is facing 21 charges including traffic after several raids on the Sunshine Coast.
Mr Campbell, who was on bail for other matters in the Australian Capital Territory, appeared by video at Maroochydore Magistrates Court to face 21 fresh charges. ....

An accused Gumtree fraudster charged with swindling more than $8000 off customers has been refused bail.
Ben James Butler appeared at Maroochydore Magistrates Court by video from the watch house on Friday to face 27 charges.
The court heard Mr Butler allegedly defrauded more than 20 people after advertising items for sale online between September and January.
Police prosecutor Brendan Newman objected to a bail application saying it was likely Mr Butler would be sentenced to jail if found guilty of his charges.
This is a calculated plan by the defendant (allegedly) posting things on Gumtree, receiving money from people interstate and in Queensland, Sergeant Newman said. ....
