Brooklyn: I just heard a senator expounding on how schools are indoctrinating, failing and ruining students, secularly and religiously. As a former teacher, I want to inform this person that no parent should be looking to any school to prepare a student for heaven. That is the job of parents and religious leaders. Nowhere in the Good Book does it say that school teachers should do that. It emphatically states that fathers (parents) must bring up their children in the fear of the Lord, and he who loves his children will chasten them.
