In August 2017, landscaper Marco Gonzalez was operating a stand-on lawn mower in southeastern Pennsylvania when one of the machine’s wheels nicked a metal guardrail. The collision jerked the lawn mower sideways, knocking the then 37-year-old father of three onto the ground.
On December 23, 2020, Robert Wm. McCutcheon, Jr. (81) died at Spartanburg Regional Hospital Spartanburg, SC after a brief illness with his daughter holding his hand.
Bob was self-employed and worked right up to his time of death as a real estate appraiser in Rutherfordton, NC.
Bob is survived by his children, Robert Wm. McCutcheon III (Patty) Traverse City, Michigan and Amy Jo Roote (Timothy) Rutherfordton, NC; his younger brother, Thomas Lynam (Shirley) Boise, Idaho; and three half-sisters. He had four grandchildren, Connie Campbell (Ryan) Traverse City, Michigan, Benjamin Roote (Monica) Asheville, NC, Krystal Hinkley (Jamie) Cedar Bluff, VA, and Angela Roote, Asheville, NC. Bob had five great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Wm. McCutcheon Sr. and Harriet Capelin Lynam.
