Fiona's final gift: a beautiful 'gratitude' scarf the late artist collaborated on

The late artist Fiona Cribben would have celebrated her 43rd birthday next Tuesday but her 13-year-old son, Johnny, and her family have a very special ‘gratitude’ scarf to wear. – one she collaborated on in her final months.
“One thing I would love to do before I head off onto my next best life would be to change the way we look at cancer,” Fiona wrote to Electronic Sheep designers, Helen Delany and Brenda Aherne, in 2018, a year before her death from metastatic breast cancer.
“I guess I sort of want to do something beautiful before I leave this earth and I want this to be one of those things. ....

Style notes: Scarves provide a window into the past

All those waiting for their dates under that iconic meeting spot of Clerys’ clock on Dublin’s O’Connell Street probably had a good look in the shop’s windows as they waited for fate, and romance.
Many of the window displays were the handiwork of Eileen Delany, who had great style and ridiculously good taste in clothes. She wore a lot of John Rocha’s Chinatown range and Paul Costelloe’s Dressage range, and shopped at Brown Thomas and The Design Centre.
Eileen’s catchphrase, as she waved her daughter Helen and her best pal Brenda Aherne off when going out to play or to a disco, was “enjoy yourself”. ....
