Ron Lagerstrom, who served for many years as senior pastor at University Covenant Church in Davis, died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, Jan. 14, in Santa Barbara.
A native Californian born in Kingsburg, Ron cherished the beauty of the Central Valley. After serving churches in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Illinois, he and his wife Velma were excited to be called to Davis in 1970. The couple found their 42 years in the community to be among the happiest of their life together. Here they raised their two sons, welcomed their daughter-in-law and son-in-law into the family, and celebrated the births of their grandchildren.
