A Missouri man has been charged with the New Year’s Eve murders of his girlfriend and her teenage son and the attempted murders of her two daughters, the Springfield Police Department reports. Dead are Stephanie Plumb, 32, and 13-year-old Dylan Moore. Plumb’s 14- and 7-year-old daughters were transported to area hospitals, with the older girl’s wounds considered life-threatening. On Friday, police said the 14-year-old was in critical but stable condition, and the 7-year-old was in stable condition. All four victims were stabbed. Brandon C. King, 29, has been charged with two counts of first-degree assault, according to jail records. KOLR10 reported that Greene County prosecutors are adding one count of child abuse resulting in death, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of abuse of a child, and seven counts of armed criminal action. He is being held without bond. ....
