Like everyone else, those behind the new CW series “Kung Fu” distinctly remember the wild sequence of events in March 2020, when the pandemic suddenly halted everything. In 2018, months after Kelly Marie Tran had appeared onscreen in the latest installment of the “Star Wars” franchise, she wrote an opinion piece for the New York Times.
