Parrish and Sylla each score to help Clemson beat Notre Dame for program's 4th men's soccer title

Seniors Brandon Parrish and Ousmane Sylla each scored, and No. 9 Clemson held off No. 2 Notre Dame 2-1 on Monday night to claim the program's second national championship in three seasons. Clemson (15-3-5), making its sixth championship game appearance in school history and second in three seasons, has won titles in 1984, 1987 and 2021. The Tigers also knocked off Notre Dame in the 2021 semifinals.

Clemson Shuts Out Charlotte to Advance to NCAA Third Round

CLEMSON, S.C. – Behind goals from three different Tigers and the team’s sixth shutout of the season, Clemson men’s soccer downed Charlotte, 3-0, to move on to the NCAA Round of 16 for the fourth time in five seasons. The Tigers shined in front of 2,897 fans and moved to 10-1-2 at Historic Riggs Field this season. With the win, Head Coach Mike Noonan now has 388 career victories, tying Clemson Hall of Fame coach I.M. Ibrahim on the NCAA’s career wins list. “Very proud of this team and we played well tonight,” Said Noonan. “Riggs is a charmed place for this team and we hope we get to play here again. The crowd we gathered for a Sunday night match up was massive and were so lucky to play in front of these fans.” The Tigers came out strong in the first half as they were awarded nine corner-kicks and recorded two shots on the 49ers. Five Tigers Earn All-Conference Honors

Clemson, S.C. – Clemson men’s soccer earned six postseason All-ACC honors, including one on each team, it was announced on Wednesday by the conference office. Voting was conduced by the league’s head coaches. First Team All-ACCSenior forward Ousmane Sylla earned his second-consecutive first team All-ACC honor and third all-conference honor of his career. Sylla leads the Tigers in both goals and assists, with seven and nine respectively. Sylla also now sits at No. 14 on Clemson’s all-time assists list (23). After scoring his first-ever career hat trick versus Boston College on Senior Night, Sylla has 23 points on the season.
