But it is building up and its causing some issues. Forget about driving the Blue Ridge Parkway big chunks are closed due to snow just like schools, roads too tough for buss to tackle. Students do not care. You do not they have missed seven days because of snow but do not have to make them up. Why . Well, the school day in avery county is 20 minutes longer. That builds up and so when we miss days like this, we dont have to make it up. They were making up snow days no telling how long they will be out this time, especially with temperatures expected to dip to extreme levels. Many folks like shane mills want winter to go away. A daycare bus driver will not face drivers after he hit and killed an elementary teacher in goldsboro. Ray bats struck Brandon Kincaid with the bus last tuesday while he was in the wheelchair in a parking lot. Our sister station reports kincaid was a youth pastor and expecting his first child with his wife in june. A suspicious package had a Harrisburg High School on alert today.
